Harold E. Puckett
Harold E. Puckett, 91, of Springfield, died Friday March 6, 2009 in Mercy St. John's Center. He was born June 22, 1917 in Bainbridge, Ohio, the son of Earl and Lydia (Smith) Puckett.
He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Harold served his country during WWII with the United States Army. He later worked for Robbins and Myers, retiring after twenty-three years of service.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Dianne and Garry T. Lee of Raleigh, North Carolina; Janet and Larry Ervin of Springfield; two sisters, Donna Arrington of Bainbridge, Ohio and Joan Thomas of Letart, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Larry (Shannon) Lee of Thorsby, Alabama, Cathy (Haig) Korikian of Galloway, Ohio, Steven (Tami) Mayes of Springfield and Lori Lee (Gary) McCulloch of Knighdale, North Carolina; seven great-grandchildren, Courtney Mayes and Chelsea Newman, Lydia and Sophia Korikian, Mason and Meredith McCulloch and Warren Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hazel Puckett, sister, Louise Lapham; two brothers, Duane and Dale Puckett.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday March 10, 2009. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
