Paige Ellen Halley Stout


Paige Ellen Halley Stout, 42, of Springfield died unexpectedly Saturday, May 31, 2008 in her home.

She was born May 24, 1966 in Watertown, New York the daughter of David C. and Perry (Harrison) Halley.

Paige attended North High School and graduated from Wyoming High School in Cincinnati in 1984. She received her Associate of Science Degree from Miami Dade Community College with academic honors and was a member and Past President of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. Paige was a World Class swimmer in High School and participated in the Olympic Trials in 1984, where she finished as 2nd Runner-up in the 200 Meter Butterfly. Paige coached swimming at UCLA and the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida and won two World Championships with Halter Class Paint Horses. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Paige is survived by her son Asa Levi Stout at home; two sisters and a brother-in-law Jan M. Janev of Columbus, Ohio, and Michelle and Christopher Schmitt of Milford, Ohio; two brothers and a sister-in-law Anthony L. and Stephanie Haas of Powell, Ohio, and Patrick D. Halley of Chicago, Illinois; her father, David of Cancun, Mexico; grandmother Thelma Halley of Wilmington, Ohio; stepmother Victoria S. Halley of Powell, Ohio and dozens of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Perry; grandparents Wesley and Martha Harrison and Myron L. Halley.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 AM. in Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Raymond Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
